Sedgwick County health officials said Friday that all appointments have been booked for the COVID-19 vaccinations. The appointments will reopen if there are cancellations or when more vaccine becomes available.
The county and the state of Kansas have now moved into Phase 2 of the state’s vaccination plan. The county opened appointments for people 83 years of age and older, because that is the age group that is most at risk for serious complications from the virus. The county will provide vaccines at a later time for people age 65 to 83, and for health care workers who were not vaccinated under Phase 1. The vaccinations are being provided at INTRUST Bank Arena.
People who were able to schedule an appointment will need to allow 45 minutes for the process and they should take the following steps:
