The KBI is investigating an officer involved shooting in Junction City.
Junction City police and Geary County deputies responded to a domestic dispute around 2:45 a.m. Wednesday, at home in the 400 block of West 2nd Street. A woman called from the home and reported a shot was fired during a domestic dispute.
Law enforcement surrounded the home and asked the woman to come out, and she was able to safely exit. A man did not come out of the house right away and police kept trying to get in touch with him. 70-year-old James Marsh came out of the home around 3:20 a.m., and reportedly shot at law enforcement. One deputy and one officer fired at Marsh and hit him. Marsh survived and was last listed in fair condition at a hospital.
The KBI’s investigation is ongoing and no more details are being released at the moment.
