Harvey County officials have identified the driver who was killed Tuesday in a crash just south of Newton.
36-year-old Amiee Baker of Sedgwick was driving an SUV northbound in the 5600 block of South Kansas Avenue. Her vehicle hit a semi that had stopped to make a delivery. The crash was reported around 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Baker was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver of the semi was not hurt. The crash is still under investigation with the help of the Kansas Highway Patrol’s Critical Highway Accident Response Team.
