A Catholic church in northeast Wichita has suspended masses for at least two weeks after a priest tested positive for COVID-19.
The Catholic Diocese of Wichita said the priest from the Church of the Magdalen woke up ill Wednesday morning, then went to his doctor and received a test for coronavirus. The priest will quarantine for 10 days and another priest who shares quarters with him will quarantine for 14 days.
All Masses, confessions and Eucharistic Adoration have been canceled, and livestreams have been discontinued for now. Alternative links will be posted on the church’s web site.
