Museum of World Treasures to Reopen Wednesday

Museum of World Treasures will reopen to the public on Wednesday, May 27
The Museum of World Treasures has been preparing for the next phase of Governor Laura Kelly’s plan to reopen the state. The Museum will reopen on Wednesday, May 27 with capacity limited to 25% (100 visitors) and group-size limited to 10 people.
“We are so excited to begin welcoming visitors back to the Museum,” said Mike Noller, President and CEO. “We’re looking forward to sharing history’s stories face-to-face with people again, and as we are all on a very personal level navigating through these incredibly challenging times, we are immensely thankful for this opportunity to help our community begin the process of returning to normal.”
The Museum’s regular weekly schedule will be Wednesday through Sunday, with the Museum closed two days a week on Mondays and Tuesdays to minimize the load on the facility during the pandemic.
Hours of Operation — first hour reserved for seniors and at-risk groups
9:00 AM to 4:00 PM Wednesday — Saturday
11:00 AM to 4:00 PM Sunday
CLOSED Monday — Tuesday
To help guests plan their visit, they may call ahead to make reservations. Reservations may be made beginning Tuesday, May 26 by calling the Museum at 316.263.1311 during regular operating hours. Walk-ins are always welcome and reservations are not required, though priority will be given to those with reservations. Museum members will also receive priority admission with or without a reservation. The last reservation of the day will be taken at 2:45 PM.
Face coverings and social distancing of six feet will be required in the Museum. The Museum recommends credit card or NFC devices for contactless payments. Sanitization stations have been made available for guest safety. All interactives and high-touch areas, including Ivan’s Playhouse, as well as water fountains, have been temporarily closed.
