The Sedgwick County Fair Board has decided to cancel this summer’s fair in Cheney because of the coronavirus outbreak. The fair had been scheduled for July 8-11 at the county fairgrounds in Cheney.
The board decided Tuesday that restrictions on mass gatherings and public health protocols presented challenges that could not be met. The Fair Board issued a statement promising a “spectacular return” in 2021. People who made an advance purchase on tickets will be contacted about a refund.
