Governor Laura Kelly spoke about the plan to get the Kansas economy open again.
The Governor says she was part of a phone call with the president and White House officials discussing the administration’s blueprint for opening up the economy. She says the plan highlighted the partnership and responsibilities of the federal, state, and local governments, as well as the private sector.

The state’s stay at home order is set to expire May 3. The governor says she has been holding talks with both the private sector and state leaders as they work on the blueprint to get the economy moving again.
She has also spoken with other governors regionally and both local and state chambers of commerce as they work to develop a plan that will be contingent on a continued decrease in the number of new infections.
