The latest figures from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment show there are now 2,025 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the state.

That is an increase of 39 since Monday afternoon.  107 people have now died from the virus in Kansas.

The state figures show 251 cases in Sedgwick County, but that may change when the county gives its afternoon update later Tuesday.  There are no new cases in the counties surrounding Sedgwick.

Testing is now underway in western Kansas where much of the state’s meatpacking industry is located.  In Ford County, which includes Dodge City, there are 187 reported cases of Covid-19.

Johnson and Wyandotte County remain the hardest hit by the virus.  419 people have had to be hospitalized and they range in age from an infant to 99 years old.

Of the nearly 20,000 testes for the virus in Kansas so far, over 17,000 people have tested negative.
