Felony charges could be filed against a Newton couple who went to Walmart and coughed on shoppers, claiming they had Coronavirus.
The incident was captured on video and posted social media. Police were only made aware of the incident after it started being shared on social media.
The couple was tracked down and interviewed by Newton Police. They plan to turn the case over to the Harvey County Attorney’s Office with the recommendation of felony charges of criminal threat.
