One person was killed in a garage fire this morning, near Douglas and West.
The fire started around 7:30 a.m., in the 4100 block of West Douglas. Fire crews found smoke coming from a garage and a person inside was not breathing. That person was pronounced dead shortly after.
So far, the name of the person who died has not been released, and officials have not said how the fire may have started.
Another person in the home was reportedly detained after refusing to cooperate with police.
