Wichita police have arrested an 18-year-old man for the shooting death of his brother.
Police said officers were working an unrelated call at Via Christi St. Joseph hospital Sunday evening, February 16, when they found 21-year-old Israel Norwood with a gunshot wound. He was a front seat passenger in a car outside the hospital. He died a short time later.
Norwood’s two brothers, ages 18 and 17 were in the car, and the older brother ran from the hospital on foot. Officers caught up with him, and later and booked him into jail on a second degree murder charge on February 22.
Police are continuing their investigation.
