The Trader Joe’s specialty grocery store chain will open its Wichita location on October 11th.
A formal ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled to open the store at 9 a.m. with activities scheduled throughout the day. The store will open in the building that formerly housed a Fresh Market store on the south side of the Bradley Fair shopping center at 21st and Rock Road.
The store will have art murals of Wichita area landmarks and attractions, and there will also be artwork recognizing Wichita’s status as the “Air Capital of the World.”
Trader Joe’s began in 1967 in Pasadena, California, and the chain now has 488 locations in 41 states and the District of Columbia.
