History
This is the 91st NBC World Series held in Wichita
One of the oldest continuously running sporting events in the country
Originally started by Hap Dumont in 1935, and was the reason Lawrence Dumont Stadium was originally constructed
More than 900 players from the NBC have gone on to play major league baseball
NBC alumni include Ozzie Smith, Albert Pujols, Alex Gordon, Joe Carter and Roger Clemens, among others

16 teams representing leagues from across the country, with players from over a hundred different universities
Recent NBC alumni include Josh Jung (Rangers), Ryan O’Hearn (Orioles), Ryan Helsley (Cardinals), Spencer Steer (Reds – also former Wichita Wind Surge alumni)
Last year’s champion was the Hays Larks, who captured their first ever NBC World Series title
Pool play will run from July 24-July 29
Single elimination will run July 30-August 2
