Police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened Sunday evening at a home in southeast Wichita.
Officers were called to the 2300 block of South Belmont around 6:15 p.m. and they found a woman dead inside a home. She was identified as 24-year-old Brittnee Wicker of Wichita. She was pronounced dead at the scene from a gunshot wound.
Investigators are working on leads to find a suspect, and they said the suspect and victim were known to each other. Police also indicated that this was a domestic violence incident.
