A man from Guatemala has been charged with child sex crimes and kidnapping in a Wichita case involving a child under 14 years of age.
A hearing was held Monday in Sedgwick County District Court for 49-year-old Alejandro Beltranena, who is charged with kidnapping, aggravated criminal sodomy, indecent solicitation of a child, and lewd and lascivious behavior. His bond was set at $1.5 million.
Police and the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office have not released details on the case because it involves a minor.
