Police have arrested a 22-year-old Wichita man for the death of a woman in a domestic violence incident
Dispatchers received a call from a 911 operator in North Carolina about a possible homicide in the Wichita area. Information was given to the North Carolina operator by a family member of the suspect. Officers were sent to a home around 11 a.m. Saturday in the 7000 block of East 21st Street North. They found the suspect and they also found a 19-year-old woman in the trunk of his car. Officers got the woman out of the trunk and provided medical attention until EMS crews got to the scene. She was later pronounced dead, and she has been identified as Zaiylah Bronson of Wichita.
Investigators are still working to find out what led to the incident. The suspect was booked into jail on a first degree murder charge.
