Police said Tuesday they have arrested an 18-year-old man in connection with a shooting last weekend that injured two teenagers.

The shooting was the result of a road rage incident on July 14th.  Officers were called to the 700 block of West Maywood, near 55th Street South and Seneca.   They found a 19-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his leg and a 17-year-old boy had a gunshot wound to his upper chest area.   They were found inside a parked car.    A witness reported seeing a dispute that ended when shots were fired from a black sedan into the teens’ car.   The teens were taken to a hospital where they were in critical but stable condition.

Police said detectives identified the gunman with the help of social media posts, and the man was arrested for two counts of aggravated battery, two counts of criminal discharge of a firearm, and criminal use of a weapon.
