A Wichita man has been charged in connection with a fatal stabbing that happened earlier this month.
A hearing was held for 38-year-old Pedro Hernandez, and he was charged with second degree murder. His bond was set at $500,000 and his next court appearance was scheduled for July 25th.
Police were called to the 2600 block of East Harry on July 8th, and they found 30-year-old Shawn Gomez with a stab wound. He was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Police said that Gomez and Hernandez were involved in a fight that led to the stabbing.
