Wichita Police are investigating a shooting that critically injured a 20- year-old man.
The shooting happened in the 2200 block of W. MacArthur, but police said that the victim arrived at a local area hospital prior to their arrival on the scene of the incident just after 4 p.m.
The the victim was shot in his upper torso area and remains in critical but stable condition.
Investigators are still working to determine what led up to the shooting and have been interviewing potential witnesses. Officials said there is no immediate threat to the public.
