Wichita man arrested, charged in two separate shootings

A Wichita man has been arrested and charged with two separate shooting incidents that happened about a block apart.

Police were looking for 71-year-old Samuel Neal of Wichita after the shootings on South Emporia.   He has been charged with three counts of criminal discharge of a firearm and aggravated assault.  His bond was set at $500,000 and his next court appearance was scheduled for July 24th.

Police said a 21-year-old man was injured around 12:30 Tuesday morning after a shooting in the 1100 block of South Emporia.   A 36-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman were injured two nights earlier at a home in the 1000 block of South Emporia.   All three are expected to recover.

No information has been released on a motive for the shootings.
