Wichita police have arrested a 19-year-old man in connection with the July 2nd shooting incident that injured 11 people at an Old Town nightclub.

The man was arrested for two counts of aggravated battery and one count of criminal possession of a firearm by a felon.

Police said the investigation is continuing and detectives are working to identify additional shooters.   A 31-year-old Missouri man was arrested shortly after the shooting but investigators later determined that he was firing back at two gunmen inside the club, and he was acting in self defense.  Charges were dropped and he was released on Thursday.

The shooting at City Nightz in the 200 block of North Washington left seven men and two women with gunshot injuries while two other people were trampled by patrons running from the gunfire inside the club.

Police are still asking for anyone with information to contact WPD detectives at 268-4407, Crime Stoppers at 267-2111 or the See Something Say Something hotline at 519-2282.
