A Wichita man has been found guilty in the killing of another man last fall.
32-year-old Saul Valenciana was convicted of first degree murder in the November 24th, 2022 killing of 41-year-old Brent Boone. Police said Boone was reported missing from his north Wichita home, and they learned that he was killed during a disturbance in a vehicle with two other people. Boone’s body was found in a rural area of Sumner County on December 1st.
Valenciana was arrested on December 15th after a standoff at a home near Harry and Edgemoor. Another suspect, 19-year-old Tehya Turner of Haysville, was also arrested and charged with first degree murder. Valenciana will be sentenced on August 8th. Turner is waiting for trial in the case.
