Wichita Police arrested a 45-year-old Wichita man in connection to the theft of thousands of dollars worth of merchandise.
The allegedly stole over $24,000 worth of Coach products from an outlet store in Towne East Square mall.
Investigators had been looking into a series of thefts from Coach dating back to March 27th of last year.
Around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, employees at Coach reported the man entering the business and taking stealing various items. The suspect then returned to a home in the 1400 block of S. Pershing. Authorities said they witnessed the suspect with items taken from the Coach outlet.
Officers attempted to arrest the suspect, but he refused to come out of the house. After deploying two K-9 units, the man exited the house and was arrested without incident.
Detectives reportedly found evidence of the thefts inside the home, along with drugs and drug paraphernalia.
The suspect was booked for five county warrants (theft and possession of opiates) with a $150,00 bond and a city warrant for domestic violence.
The investigation is ongoing.
