Police say they have arrested a teenager in connection with a fatal shooting that happened almost a week ago in a southeast Wichita neighborhood.
A 16-year-old Wichita boy was arrested on a first degree murder charge. He is the suspect in a shooting that happened June 10th in the 2300 block of East MacArthur.
Officers found 27-year-old Rashaad Hollingsworth of Wichita inside a vehicle, and he had a gunshot wound to his upper body. He was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Detectives learned that Hollingsworth was driving in the neighborhood when he was shot. He lost control of his car and hit a structure on the side of the road. The suspect ran from the scene, but detectives developed information that led to an arrest.
