A 26-year-old woman was arrested for aggravated battery in connection to a road rage incident from Tuesday morning.
Officers were patrolling the area of Harry and McLean when they saw a man sitting on the side of the road next to a motorcycle with rear end damage. The 62-year-old rider claimed a woman had run into him on purpose. He was taken to a hospital with injuries described as non life-threatening.
Police learned the rider and the woman in a car were both traveling west on Pawnee when they turned north onto Broadway. The motorcycle rider was in the inside lane, while the woman was on the outside lane. She reportedly nearly hit the rider, leading to a verbal exchange as they continued north on Broadway.
Several minutes passed and the rider noticed a car approaching him quickly from behind, near Harry and McLean. He was hit and fell off the motorcycle, but was able to see it was the woman from before. She drove off but several people saw the crash and followed her. She parked her car at Boston and Wichita and walked off, but was later arrested.
