A Sedgwick County Detention Deputy was arrested for DUI.
The deputy was off-duty in his own car at the time, and was arrested by Derby police Thursday night.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the deputy has been with the department since January of 2022. He will continue to be employed while going through the legal process. After that, an internal investigation will be conducted by the Sheriff’s Office Professional Standards Unit.
