A Sedgwick County detention deputy was arrested for computer crimes.
The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office says it became aware of the deputy being involved in illegal activity. Investigators found enough probable cause for an arrest, and the deputy was booked on three felony counts of unlawful access to obtain money, property, or services.
The deputy in question has been with the Sheriff’s Office since 2015. He has since been suspended without pay until an investigation has concluded. Jail records show the deputy is no longer in custody.
