A Wichita man has been charged in connection with a sexual assault that was reported in a west side neighborhood.
61-year-old Daryl Ford was charged with two counts of rape, two counts of aggravated criminal sodomy, aggravated burglary, kidnapping, attempted rape, and a misdemeanor charge of battery. His bond was set at $500,000 and his next court hearing was scheduled for September 26th.
Ford was arrested after a 58-year-old woman reported being assaulted early in the morning of September 7th in the area of the 900 block of West Maple. The victim went to a hospital and then contacted police. Investigators said Ford and the victim are believed to be known to each other.
