Police said a disturbance at a graduation party led to a shooting that killed a 17-year-old boy, and a 15-year-old girl was struck by a car as she was running from the scene, and she later died at a hospital.

Police said a fight broke out between two groups of people during a graduation party at The Banquet Hall in the 3100 block of East 25th Street North, and shots were fired.  Police found 17-year-old Boisy Barefield with a gunshot wound, and he died later at a hospital.

Police said a 15-year-old girl was running from the party when she was hit by a car at 25th and Estelle.   She was taken to a hospital where she later died, and police identified her on Monday as Jaxson Hunt of Wichita.   The car left the scene but police tracked it down and arrested an 18-year-old woman for felony hit and run.

Investigators are still looking into the shooting incident and police said a lack of cooperation has made it difficult to find out what led up to the shooting.
