An early morning fire destroyed a home near Valley Center, and nearby residents reported hearing explosions.
No injuries were reported from the fire, which was reported around 4:15 a.m. Tuesday in the 6800 block of North Meridian. Crews discovered fire throughout the home when they arrived.
The cause is under investigation. Valley Center and Sedgwick County units worked to bring the fire under control.
