The Wichita school district has announced that classes will be canceled for Thursday as a winter storm moves in with the potential for 6 to 9 inches of snowfall,.
Non-attendance centers will also be closed, and all after-school activities and practices have been canceled. Students will not be in school Friday or next Monday under the school calendar. The status of Thursday’s special meeting of the Wichita school board has not been determined at this time.
All work and in-service activities scheduled for Friday, February 18th are expected to continue as scheduled.

The B-29 Doc Hangar, Education and Visitors Center will be closed Thursday. Regular hours will resume Saturday, February 19th.
Butler County offices in El Dorado will not open to the public until 10 a.m.
Sedgwick County Zoo will be closed Thursday.
