The Reno County Sheriff’s Office said Monday the body of a missing water skier was recovered at Cheney Lake on Monday.
A fisherman discovered the body shortly before 8 a.m. Monday and contacted the Cheney State Park office. Boats from the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks were sent to recover the body.
The missing man was identified as 48-year-old Ty Freel of Wichita. He disappeared Saturday and crews were searching the M&M Point area throughout the wekend.
