One person was critically hurt following two separate crashes in the Andover area around 9 a.m. Saturday morning that resulted in both directions of US-54 being shut down for a few hours.

A driver involved in a single-motorcycle accident suffered unspecified injuries, but is excepted to be okay. Shortly after, a second accident occurred involving two vehicles. One person was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
