HumanKind Ministries is asking the community to provide donations of children’s coats for their Operation Holiday campaign.

The agency said applications have increased this year for children in need of winter coats.  The holiday drive is about 6,000 coats short of the number needed.

HumanKind is asking for coat or cash donations.  Monetary gifts can be made online at HumanKindWichita.org/Donate or they can be mailed to HumanKind at 829 N. Market, Wichita, KS 67214.   Coats can also be purchased from HumanKind’s Operation Holiday Amazon Wishlist.

Coat donations can be taken to the Operation Holiday warehouse in the former Central Library building downtown or to the HumanKind offices at 829 N. Market, or to any Operation Holiday collection site. Coats can also be taken Saturday, December 9th to the Day of Giving from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Dillons stores at Central and Rock Road or 21st and Maize Road. There are also collection boxes at other Dillons stores in Wichita.
