Kansas members of the U.S. House of Representatives voted along party lines in both rounds of voting for the House Speaker position.

In the voting on Tuesday and again Wednesday, Republican congressmen Ron Estes, Jake LaTurner and Tracey Mann voted for Ohio congressman Jim Jordan, while Democrat Sharice Davids voted for Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries.

Jordan failed Monday to get the necessary 217 votes during the first ballot of the vote on the House floor, earning just 200 votes. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries received 212 votes from Democrats.

In the unofficial count from Wednesday’s vote, Jordan had 199 votes while Jefferies had 212, and 22 Republican members voted for others.
