The Kansas Highway Patrol said a 25-year-old McPherson man has been arrested for a fatal hit-and-run incident.
The man was booked into the McPherson County jail on charges that include causing an accident involving death or personal injury, reckless driving and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
The KHP said a bicycle rider was hit by a pickup September 29th near 17th and Mohawk Road. The pickup was traveling south on 17th and then struck the bicycle, then it turned west on Northview near the city of McPherson.
The bike rider, 59-year-old Pedro Amezcua-Cabrera of McPherson, was dead at the scene.
