An 8-year-old child was taken to a hospital after being hit by a car Wednesday evening in a southeast Wichita neighborhood.
The incident was reported around 8:30 p.m. near Levitt and Zimmerly, which is northeast of the intersection of Harry and Rock Road. Police are investigating this as a hit-and-run incident, but no other details have been released.
The child was taken to a hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
