A Wichita police officer and three other people were hurt Saturday when the officer’s patrol car collided with a pickup during a brief chase downtown.
An officer was trying to stop a vehicle on Kellogg Drive around 3 p.m. and that led to a brief chase. The officer’s patrol car collided with a pickup at Kellogg Drive and Main.
The officer was taken to a hospital with possible serious injuries. He was treated and released from a hospital later in the day. Three people in the pickup had minor injuries.
The Kansas Highway Patrol is investigating the crash and the search continues for the vehicle that was involved in the chase.
