U.S. Marshals arrest man wanted for fatal southwest Kansas crash

The U.S. Marshals Service has reported the arrest of a man wanted for a fatal 2019 crash in southwest Kansas.

The Kansas Fugitive Apprehension Task Force reported the arrest of 26-year-old Paulo Ivan Garcia in Douglas County, Georgia.    Garcia was wanted for a crash that happened on October 26th, 2019 in Grant County, Kansas.   The crash killed 57-year-old Kevin Coyle and his father, 81-year-old Gerald Lee Coyle.

Grant County officials said the crash happened at a county intersection, and Garcia is accused of stealing a pickup truck from a witness and leaving the accident scene.  The pickup was later found abandoned.

Garcia was also wanted for a federal supervised release violation out of Wichita.
