Police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened Sunday night in a south Wichita neighborhood.
The shooting was reported around 9 p.m. in the 1800 block of S. Exchange, southeast of Harry and McLean. Officers found 39-year-old Felix Whitfield of Wichita in a driveway with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead.
Police said there was an argument between Whitfield and an acquaintance, and shots were fired. There were no reports of any other victims. Detectives are still talking to people who may have witnessed the shooting.
