Police make another arrest in connection to June 3rd shooting, robbery

Police arrested a 20-year-old Wichita man in connection to a June 3rd shooting that critically injured an 18-year-old man.

The suspect face charges of  aggravated assault, criminal possession of a firearm by a felon, and  felony theft.

The incident happened around 11:40 p.m. in the 3900 block of South Meridian. Officer found the victim with a gunshot wound to his back. He was transported to an area hospital with critical but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said that the 18-year-old victim was struck by gunfire after a victim of a robbery at the same location exchanged gunfire with an additional 19-year-old suspect after that suspect started shooting at him. The 20-year-old suspect suspect who was recently arrested allegedly participated in the robbery with the 19-year-old.
