The Kansas Highway Patrol said a Wichita woman was seriously injured when her car went off the Kansas Turnpike and overturned. The crash was reported shortly before noon Wednesday in Lyon County.
The KHP said a southbound car went off the turnpike and hit an embankment, went airborne for a short distance and then rolled at least twice before coming to rest on its wheels.
The driver, 22-year-old Bailee Hickle of Wichita, was taken to a hospital in Emporia.
