A Sedgwick County judge has sentenced a Wichita man to over seven years in prison for offering women rides and then sexually assaulting them.
A sentence of 85 months in prison was given to 41-year-old Marlon Montoya. He pleaded guilty on April 7th to two counts of aggravated sexual battery.
Prosecutors said on December 31st of 2021, a 54-year-old woman reported that she had been walking and decided to get into Montoya’s car, then he drove to a lot in the 1000 block of North Topeka where he forced her to have sex at knifepoint. In another incident, a 63-year-old woman reported that she was sexually assaulted in a park on East 16th Street North after being picked up by Montoya in January of 2022.
