A Wichita man has been charged with second degree murder for a fatal shooting that happened in a southeast area neighborhood.
24-year-old Damion Hazelton was also charged with criminal possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. His bond was set at $600,000 and his next court appearance was scheduled for July 12th.
Hazelton was arrested for the June 23rd shooting death of 49-year-old Chris Baker of Wichita. Police found Baker with a gunshot wound inside an SUV that had crashed into an apartment building in the 7000 block of East Lincoln.
No information has been released on a motive for the shooting.
