Teenager hospitalized in Wichita after Arkansas City accident

A 14-year-old boy was in stable condition after a weekend accident in Arkansas City.

Police said the accident happened around 9:40 Saturday night at Highland Drive and Radio Lane.   The boy was riding his bicycle south on Highland when he went into the intersection and the driver of the car could not stop in time.

The boy was taken to South Central Kansas Medical Center in Arkansas City and later transferred to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.

Arkansas City police are asking anyone with information on the accident to call them at 629-441-4444.
