The Wichita school district will again offer free breakfasts and lunches during the summer to children 18 years of age and younger.

The Summer Food Program began Monday and will run through July 28th at 39 locations.

Because of federal regulations, children must be present to receive a meal and the meals must be consumed at the locations.   No meal reservations are required and there are no qualifying guidelines or paperwork to fill out.

The days and times of operation will vary at each location, and more information is available at the website www.usd259.org/summerfood

The Kansas State Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Agriculture are sponsoring the food service program, and it has been administered by the Wichita Public Schools since 1982.
