One person is in jail in connection to a shooting in north Wichita.

A 50-year-old man walked into a hospital with a gunshot wound a bit before 8 p.m. Wednesday. His injuries were described as serious but not life-threatening. This person went through surgery and was listed as being in stable condition.

Police learned the victim had been involved in a fight with a 56-year-old man near Minnesota and 24th. This fight reportedly revolved around an “outstanding issue,” but no more specifics were given.

The 56-year-old man was arrested for aggravated battery.
