The Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office said Wednesday it has closed an investigation into complaints over prepaid trash services.
The DA’s office said 12 consumers had filed complaints against Best Value Services, LLC, which has offices in Wichita and Haysville. The consumers said they had paid for services they had not received.
An investigator was assigned to look into the complaints and Best Value Services cooperated with the DA’s office. The company provided all requested refunds to the affected customers and another service provider voluntarily offered a free month of trash service to the customers in Haysville.
The DA’s office said the actions by Best Value addressed the concerns, and the investigation has been closed.
