The Kansas Humane Society is partnering with the BISSELL Pet Foundation and Dogtopia to hold an Empty The Shelters event for the next two weeks.

According to the KHS, their shelters are at maximum capacity and they’re trying to get as many pets adopted as possible to free up space. To help with this, some adoption fees are being lowered now through May 15.

Adoption fees are being reduced to $25 for adult dogs 6-months old an up. Kittens under 1-year-old will also be $25.  Long-stay dogs and adult cats are still pick-you-price. This lowered pricing does not apply to puppies or high-profile pets.  Adoption fees cover spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, and required vaccinations.
