A California man has been sentenced to over 20 years in prison after he was convicted of attempted second degree murder.
The Kansas Attorney General’s office said Robert John Escarcega, a transient from California, was convicted by a jury in February. He was arrested in October, 2021 after a domestic incident in rural Kingman County.
Escarcega was sentenced to 247 months in prison and he will have to register as a violent offender for 15 years.
